As promised during the Democracy Day speech by President Muhammadu Buhari, the N-Power job application portal was officially opened for Nigerian youths to submit the online applications on June 12, 2016. June 12 was another significant day in Nigeria’s democratic process. Pensioners in Imo State on Tuesday took to the streets of Owerri, the state capital, protesting the state government’s non-payment of their pensions and gratuities since February. Barring placards with various inscriptions depicting their plights, the retirees accused the governor Hope Uzodinma led administration of insensitivity. The pensioners who wanted to invade the state government house were, however, resisted by security men who formed a barricade. For over three months now, the deadly corona virus pandemic otherwise called covid19 has struck the world leaving everything in jeopardy. Speculations have it that it originated from Wuhan a province in China. I was still in my room thinking on how to go about making a blood covenant with her, but I was afraid to tell her about it, I did not really know how to tell her my fear was ‘’what if she says no’’.
