EPISODE 15
It took me three months to recover, Rosalina, the daughter of my director where i work before, the lady i wanted to marry had already got married to another man Jude, and the company was handed over to him. There was reshuffling of the company’s policies and my position was relieved off me not only that, i was fired. I could not cope faster following the battle I went through to survive death. I was thankful to God for at least saving my life so I was not really disturbed about work. After a year, I became fully fit and rid of all the emotions and my life went on as normal again.
After a year and six months, I found the lady I should get married to. Surprisingly enough it was Vivian. Fate brought us together again. I met her at one transportation company at Anambra state where I went in search of a new job. She was working as the secretary in the company, of course it was Transport management she studied in school. I was applying to be in charge of the company’s mechanic team. I read mechanical engineering while in school. Vivian had grown fat and big “this must be Vivian I wondered inside me, but she was quick to recognize me kelvin she shouted  when she came close to attend to me.
Wow! Vivian so this is you, how are you doing? I asked.
Fine and great. It’s really been a long time, what are you doing here? She asked.
We exchanged pleasantries and booked an appointment for lunch the next day. When we met in the restaurant the next day, we had series of discussions. I wondered why she was not married yet because there was no ring on her finger. We locked in life discussions and narrated everything we have gone through so far after our graduation from the university. She asked me about my wife, the girl I took blood covenant with, then I narrated just everything I went through how I escaped death by the mercy of God. She felt sorry for me. “Why are you not married?” I asked her.
“Well, I was married two years after my youth service but I lost him in a ghastly motor accident while he was returning from Lagos where he went to buy goods for his business, my husband was among the unlucky souls that died three years ago in the then trending motor accident that took place at the ore- benin express way. If he had listened to me he would not have gone so soon, I warned him to stay back but he insisted he wanted to travel, he left and never returned…”
Oh! Am sorry for that my dear, I consoled her and we went on to have other series of discussions.
Luckily enough for me I got the job I applied for. The director in charge of the mechanic department of the transport company, mercy of God transport company precisely located at Onitsha Anambra state. Few months on, I proposed to Vivian and she accepted. We made plans for both our traditional marriage and wedding. This time am not going to run when she open herself to me after we finally get married. Preparations for the marriage went on smoothly. Vivian was from Mbaise in Imo state. My parents most especially my mum was very happy I would be getting married soon and bare her a ground child. The traditional marriage would be coming up on Thursday and Saturday would be the wedding ceremony and then Sunday Thanksgiving. On the deal day, just as custom demands, traditional marriage must definitely be at the bride's hometown. We headed straight to Mbaise, the celebration was nice and went on as planed. Our agreement was that the wedding ceremony would be at Abraka, Delta state my home town since the traditional marriage would be holding at her place. On Friday morning we took off from Mbaise heading straight to Abraka and on reaching okija, Anambra state, oh! Fate! Fate is a strong goodness, the presumed cause, force, principal that predetermined event. When one sow to the ground fate brings that seed to either survive or die. If at all any man can tell the fate of what tomorrow holds then such person would definitely be called perfect. When a man cause his brother to fall he run far to hide himself in caves and mountains but fate dig deep and bring just exactly the due judgement that fit him. When one by good nature do good or habors an angel though for many years gone by, fate will bring the reward that duely fit him. Though the west be far from the east but fate brings two together who have one in common. When a man run away from his father's house to a far country to hide himself from battle he should fight, fate bring a stray bullet that will kill him. Fate empowers, fate kills, fate is just, fate is true in judgement, fate builds, and fate destroys.

At okija, about 12:20pm or so, suddenly, so quick, too fast,  shi!!, vuu!! The vehicle  summersaulted, it was a hit from behind
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Ha! Ha! Ha! Hea! Hea!
Oh! Oh! Oh!  Everyone in the vehicle shouted and then a dim dark light.
When my eyes opened, “it was three months ago…” the doctor said. I had been in coma for three months. Vivian……!  I shouted..
Oh! At that very spot and instantly when the accident took place, vivian, my mum, and everyone that were in the vehicle died, I was the only survivor. Maybe I was still paying for the sins of the blood covenant I took or maybe Patience was still after me, what about the mercy that saved me or perhaps it was only to bring me alive and not sufficient to turn furturn around. I wept bitterly but there was nothing I could do. And as I sit with you all this day in this congregation organized by moral orientation and empowerment group(MOEG), I tell you all hearing my story that the last time I had sex was when I was eighteen, Patience and Patience alone was the only girl I ever had sex with. Hmm! At that very spot of the accident, my pelvis was damaged and my manhood cutoff, and right inside this trousers you see here houses no manhood, only an opening that allows the passage of urine. Bring again THE NIPPLES LADIES, let them afflict it again and again, put their mouth into it, call Florence and let her pose naked again and again, it will never rise, there is nothing right inside this my trousers. Maybe true, the fulfilment of the covenant that I will never have sex with any Lady except Patience, or maybe fate or mercy, but I tell you all seated here and everyone that will read my story, Patience was right to take me away but for your sake mercy kept me that you all may learn from my story and tell it to your children, children, the youth and the young men. Love is not emotions, love is not the temporal feelings we have, love is not for the weak minded, love cannot be handled by the simple, love is not fun, never you book an early morning appointment with a man who is still a boy. Stay calm, be focus, and never you for any reason make a blood covenant. Learn from my story and tell it to yourself and the next generation that what would be would be if it was meant to be….
